  7. Screen Rotation — Disable auto-rotation

  8. Screen Timeout — Set to Never (or the maximum available duration)

Connecting the Device

  1. Connect the device to the RobusTest node server using a good quality USB cable. A high-quality cable ensures reliable data transfer and device charging.

  2. When prompted on the device screen with "Allow USB Debugging?", check Always allow from this computer and tap OK.

  3. The system will take up to 2 minutes to detect and register the device. Once complete, the device will appear in your device list and be available for manual and automation testing.

Known Issues

Samsung devices — "Attention: The connected device is unable to access data"

This is a known issue on some Samsung models. Try one or more of the following:

  1. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.
  2. Install Android File Transfer or Samsung Smart Switch on the Mac running the node server.
  3. Reboot both the device and the node server.
  4. Update the device's Android OS.

Note: These steps may resolve the issue but do not guarantee the pop-up will not reappear.

Older Android versions — Devices running older Android versions may respond more slowly during test sessions.
